Maureen Sullivan is a performance artist, designer, and writer haling from Maryland. She has performed with acclaimed improv troupes like the Magnet Theater, Letter of Marque Theater, and The UpFront Theatre. Many of her works have been completed and performed nationally and internationally. Sullivan has helped in the production of several PNW festivals such as the annual Subdued Stringband Jamboree and Sh’Bang. Her creative pursuits extend beyond the stage into the visual arts as well. She is an accomplished fine artist, creating vibrant comics and paintings that explore themes of Americana with a wry, satirical bent.
Regardless of the medium, Sullivan’s work is underscored by a deep well of comedic timing and an affinity for transforming the ordinary into the absurd. Her artistic vision aims to delight audiences by exposing the inherent humor found in everyday life. When not laughing at her own creations, you can find Sullivan indulging her love of cats, Irish ephemera, and sleeping.
